The linear system that was used by Korg and Yamaha were less temperature sensitive and had no exponential converter but as the control voltage doubled for each octave you could not have a large keyboard range, the control voltage became so high that the power supply simply could not provide enough voltage to add more octaves. It’s a bit of crude solution but the TL probably cannot source much current anyway so it would work in this case. Despite these transistors and capacitors looking every one of their forty-plus years they are still working perfectly. The Korg 35 filter module. Retrieved 4 May

This results in stable tuning with low drift, fast swing-in after switch-on and good temperature stability. As you can see, it starts very slightly sharp but immediately goes slightly flat for a couple of minutes while the components warm up.

The VCO Oct 25, CR2 prevents the output of opamp IC6 from having a voltage above 0.

Minimoog – Wikipedia

Alignment of the triangle and sine converters: This is common in analog synths, particularly in oscillators when it is desirable to keep the two transistors that are wired as a symmetrical circuit as close to the same temperature as possible so that they drift with temperature change at the same rate.

But with today’s op-amps and some other changes, it offers even better stability. It was a game changer. If there is one impression that describes the physical experience of the Minimoog it is mmoog it is solid and substantial.

Although unintentional, this created the synthesizer’s “warm, rich” sound. Inthe company, now rebranded as Moog Music, released a new version of the original Minimoog. Keeping it all in tune — Transistor arrays.

Moog Co released the first Minimoog in Future synthesizers incorporated their own pitch wheels. Other decently fast op-amps with low offset and drift can be used. Here you plug in a component carrier oscillayor you solder the transistor pair and tempco resistor of your choice. Oscillaator additional temperature compensation the VCO uses a 1 kohm temperature compensation resistor.

The oscillator board, located on the right hand side of the synth when looking from the rear. They can change the timing of certain circuits too. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google. Is the oscillation a sin wave, square wave, or sawtooth at this point?

Even if you use conventional parts, it is a good idea to mount them on a component carrier and cover them with heat insulating material. Sawtooth, pulse, triangle and sine wave. Mike Spivey 2 It is much easier to build an oscillator for almost any other purpose than a music synthesizer.

This swing-in graph was measured by letting the VCO warm up for at least 1 hour, tuning it carefully, switching the power off for at least an hour, turning it back on and immediately start to measure the tuning without re-tuning it. The filter is ocsillator what first comes to mind when conversation turns to the sound of the Minimoog, or indeed the sound of any Moog synthesiser. Further to the left are the mmoog that make up the wave shapers that produce the pulse and triangle waves.

The 2SC is a good choice, if you can find it. Other ultra-low drift op-amps can be used.
